Commitment to
Character

Alpha Omicron Pi was founded on a promise to serve not only one another but the greater community as well. This commitment reflects a philosophy of friendship, concern, and usefulness in the world.

Commitment to
Dignity

Whether a member chooses to serve as a chapter officer, or represent AOII as a member of other campus or community organizations, there are numerous opportunities to develop leadership skills as a member of AOII.

Commitment to
Scholarship

AOII encourages all members to excel academically and has many programs designed to assist women in achieving their academic goals. Expectations are high but the support provided by scholarship programs, academic development officer resources, and fellow members makes success attainable.

Commitment to
College Loyalty

From collegiate years on through alumnae involvement, the reason AOIIs continue service is the joy of spending time together and sharing the insights learned from the relationships we build and sustain.

Letter from the President

WELCOME

Thank you for taking the time to explore Chi Psi’s website to have a look into our lives as AOIIs at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Our chapter’s motto is companionship and prosperity, which are two of the many values we strive to live by every day. We aim to create strong bonds of sisterhood by becoming women who value and savor lifelong friendships.

Our embodiment of Inspire Ambition is evident by how involved our AOII sisters are here at Cal Poly. Many of us serve as WOW leaders, resident advisors, ASI student leaders, academic tutors, club sports members, and so much more. Not only are AOIIs exceptionally involved on campus, but also in countless of our Greek community’s philanthropic events each year. Our involvement is not limited to the Cal Poly campus; it extends to the San Luis Obispo and surrounding communities. Our largest philanthropy and the one closest to our hearts is the Arthritis Foundation, which we recently just fundraised over $10,000 for with our annual, award-winning Mr. Fraternity event.

In addition to our philanthropic efforts, we have an immensely strong focus on friendship. When I think of my sisters, the words genuine, authentic, and warm-hearted immediately come to mind. We have such a solid support system where we can embrace our weaknesses and cherish our strengths, and for that I am so proud to be a part of this organization. I am inspired by my sisters and their accomplishments everyday and strive to be my best because of them. Take a second to browse through our website and see what our chapter is all about. We can’t wait to meet you!
